Heavy Fire Erupts In Attached Garage Of Unoccupied House: Oswego FD
The fire started in the 5000 block of Old Reserve Road in Oswego around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — A heavy fire broke out in the attached garage of a house in the 5000 block of Old Reserve Road in Oswego at about 8:38 a.m. Thursday, officials said.
Officials were alerted of a 911 call through the KENCOM Public Safety Dispatch Center reporting a structure fire. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the garage of a two-story, single-family house.
When crews arrived at the house, they found it to be unoccupied, with furniture stacked in the garage. No injuries were reported, according to officials.

After fire companies initiated an aggressive attack on the fire and search the premises, the flames were brought under control in about 35 minutes, officials said.
The cause of the fire as well as the financial damage it caused are still under investigation, officials said.

Firefighters from Bristol-Kendall, Montgomery, Naperville, North Aurora, Aurora and Sugar Grove fire departments assisted Oswego personnel during the Thursday fire.
