Suspicious Vehicle Followed School Bus Along Route: Police

The vehicle reportedly had two men inside it, but no children were approached or spoken to.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police were called to Long Beach Elementary Wednesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle allegedly following a school bus throughout neighborhoods on its route to the school Wednesday.

Police say students awaiting a school bus at Farmington Lakes Drive and Springbrook Trail North noticed a vehicle in the area that seemed to be driving aimlessly around and thought it was suspicious.

“The vehicle is alleged to have followed the school bus throughout the neighborhoods on its route to the school,” Oswego Public Information Officer Cathy Nevara said in a press release. “The vehicle was described as an older model, rusty, white convertible with a black top. The driver and passenger were both described as tall, thin, black males in their mid-thirties, wearing black clothing.”
