In 2013, out of a population of 32,057, Oswego had 18 violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, 10 rapes, three robberies, five aggravated assaults, 459 property crimes, 49 burglaries, 402 larcenies, 8 motor vehicle thefts and two reported instances of arson.

Comparatively in 2014, Yorkville, out of a population of 17,929, had nine violent crimes, zero murders and/or non-negligent manslaughter cases, five rapes, two robberies, two aggravated assaults, 166 property crimes, 23 burglaries, 136 larcenies, seven motor vehicle thefts and one reported instance of arson.
Montgomery, out of a population of 19,305 had 27 violent crimes, one murder and/or non-negligent manslaughter case, nine rapes, six robberies, 11 aggravated assaults, 254 property crimes, 36 burglaries, 209 larcenies, nine motor vehicle thefts and six reported instances of arson.
