Thousands Raised for Needy Families by Oswego Firefighters
Firefighters raised money during their annual meat raffle.

OSWEGO, IL — More than $2,500 was raised in support of local families in need during the Oswego firefighters annual meat raffle.
Firefighters gathered Dec. 5 at the Prohibition Junction Sports Bar and Grill located at 1031 Station Dr. in Oswego. Together, they were able to raise $2,778.
The money raised will go toward purchasing items for local families in need this holiday season.
“The firefighters and their families volunteer their time to come in and raise the money,” a release from the Oswego Fire Protection District said. “They go out and purchase the items needed and present them to the families in need. This truly is a worthy cause.”
