Trick or Treat...or Politics?

Well, it's a kid's holiday and one of the Kendall County's GOP decided to take advantage of a situation and is going door to door knowing that people are going to answer thinking it's a trick-or-treater.

This afternoon I open the door to an older gentleman passing out business cards that say "LEE HOFFER Precinct Committeeman Oswego 11" and GOP literature. I felt that this was inappropriate, but figured I'd just take the literature and he'd be on his way. Wrong.

Then he began to speak. He started out telling me that he doesn't like either candidate. Good, we agree on that one, so I decided to just be polite and listen to him, then we could get on with the holiday fun. Wrong again.

So, kids are coming to the door and the man just keeps going on about how Hillary is a threat to national security and she's going to destroy the constitution, and those emails...when the kids left, I had finally had enough of him and I said in a calm voice and a smile: "Those are lies."

As is typical of the angry Trumpsters, he flipped his lid. He got louder and more belligerent. At that point I just said, "OK, thank you" and shut the door, but he kept yelling outside my door about Trump as more kids were approaching.

I think that this behavior is ridiculous and inappropriate. This is a kid's holiday, the GOP needs to reel in their crazies, at least for the day.
