Urgent! Foster Homess Needed for THIS Friday 6/7/19!

Our shelter partners in the south are overcrowded. This overcrowding is the worst it's been in quite a long time. They are inundated with dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. To make matters worse, the flooding in the south means that there are even more dogs that now need to be moved to shelters in the north.

Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to help these dogs and puppies by bringing them to Illinois on Friday 6/7. We don’t have a physical location, so we rely on the generosity of our community to open their homes to these dogs while they find thier families. There's no better way to start your summer!

Here are some of the souls hoping to hitch a ride to freedom:

Brownie - Male Mix, About 2 years old. He HATES the shelter! He likes other dogs and is a little timid of new people but warms up. The shelter environment is really hard on this boy!

Bohdi - Male Lab Mix, About 5 Years Old. This boy is a favorie at the shelter! They tell us that he is relatively calm and very loveable! They would be overjoyed to see him get his very own family!

Snickers - Female Hound Mix. She is as sweet as her name and loking for love. She enjoys playing with other dogs and really gets stressed in the chaos of the shelter.

Oden - Male Pointer/Setter Mix about 2 years old. This boy is a BLAST! He loves to play and is friendly to his fellow dogs and humans! Oden + A Tug Toy = Pure JOY!

Sam and Simon - Male Lab Mix Puppies, about 5 months old. These boys are typical puppies, full of love and just enough mischief to be tons of fun! They are at the perfect age to pick up training quickly. They can be fostered as a pair or separate...you choose.

Safe Haven provides you with everything you need while you foster. You also have the first option to adopt the dog you foster.
