Video Gaming Cafe Sabrina's Approved For Liquor License
The Village Board approved a liquor and video gaming license for the new business, set to open at 3330 Orchard Road, at Tuesday's meeting.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego will soon be home to a video gaming cafe called Sabrina's, and ahead of its opening, the Village Board unanimously approved a liquor and video gaming license for the business at Tuesday night's meeting.
With a class "A-3" license, Sabrina's can sell alcoholic beverages that can be consumed in the parlor, and shop owners are allowed to install up to six video gaming terminals, according to village documents.
Oswego's location, at 3330 Orchard Road, would be owner Rickie Scali's third Sabrina's. Its sister spots are currently operating in Glendale Heights and Streamwood, both several miles north of Oswego. Along with a bar and food offerings, Sabrina's offers video poker and slot machines in a "relaxing and comfortable environment," according to its Facebook page.

At its other locations, Sabrina's menu offers a wide selection of items, including various panini and submarine sandwiches, salads, pizzas and specials, such as meatballs or Italian Beef. If customers aren't feeling an alcoholic drink one night, they can choose between various hot and cold beverages and soft drinks.
Although the Village Board approved Sabrina's license, it could still be some time until the video gaming spot opens its doors in Oswego. Tina Touchette, Oswego's village clerk, told Patch the business still has to go through its build-out process, which can take some time depending on supplies and contractors.

Beyond that, Sabrina's is still waiting for approval from the Illinois Gaming Board. Touchette also added that a few other Oswego businesses applied for IGB approval and didn't get their answer for about a year.
Until then, interested gamers can check out Sabrina's at 254 Town Center Lane in Glendale Heights and 718 S. Barrington Road in Streamwood.
