Village of Oswego Asks for More Feedback on Comprehensive Plan

The Village of Oswego has initiated the process of updating the current Comprehensive Plan to create a unified plan that can strengthen Oswego’s position in the post-recession economy in the region. The Plan will be used to guide the Village in evaluating future developments opportunities. A major goal of the plan is to develop bold and economically viable concepts for downtown, the riverfront, and other key sites that can serve the community and also attract visitors.

The planning effort is being led by Ginkgo Planning & Design, Inc., with SB Friedman, KLOA and Hitchcock Design Group as part of the multidisciplinary consultant team.

An Open House was held on Oct. 15, but public feedback is still needed.

This is a critical first step in the development of the plan; it is an opportunity for the residents of Oswego to imagine and begin to think about a right fit for the community and bring new ideas for a clearly articulated vision.
