Village Of Oswego Offers Free Pumpkins To Residents

Pumpkins will be given away to help village residents decorate their homes and will be distributed for three hours on Saturday.

OSWEGO, IL – As autumn begins, Oswego residents are invited to pick up a free pumpkin on Saturday to celebrate the fall season.

Pumpkins will be distributed to village residents from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday at the site of the future Oswego Entertainment venue in the 1000 block of Station Drive near the Park and Ride parking lot. Children are encouraged to come in costume and 500 pumpkins will be available for pick up on a first come, first served basis.

Pumpkins, which are courtesy of the Village of Oswego and its corporate partners, will be available for pick up in the Park and Ride lot.

Public health guidelines remain in place and village staff and volunteers will be adhering to social distancing guidelines. Residents are asked to wear a facial covering when interacting with staff and volunteers.
