Weichert, Realtors - Your Place Realty Raises Funds for Local Food Pantry

For three months this summer the last Saturday on the calendar has meant one thing: great music, food and a good time at the Oswego Beats & Eats festival in downtown Oswego. This free three-night concert series, held on Main Street, brought together unique musical acts, culinary artists and even a Market with local wares.

Festival attendees weren’t the only ones having a great night. Agents Lisa Wagner and Kari Rogerson with WEICHERT, REALTORS® – Your Place Realty had a booth for their firm at the festival on Saturday, August 29. They held a raffle for the Kendall County Food Pantry and raised $125.

“Hunger relief is something you normally connect with a third world country but it’s also a big problem here at home. We were amazed that the Kendall County Food Pantry serves over 7,000 people per month and wanted to help with that effort,” said Wagner.

“We’re so proud of Lisa and Kari for their efforts to give back to the Oswego community and make an impact in someone’s life” said BROKER®/Owner Craig Caffarello. “Even through the rain people came out to enjoy a great evening of food and music, and to support the KCFP, a wonderful cause. We hope to raise even more funds next year.”

Kendall County Food Pantry is a not-for-profit organization established in 1987 in response to a growing need in Kendall County, IL. KCFP is charged with the charitable collection & distribution of food, clothing and related necessities to those in need, in crisis and/or in emergency situations. Including, but not limited to, the collection of donated funds for the acquisition of food, clothing, small household goods, personal products and necessities deemed necessary for personal use while an individual and/or family is in need. Kendall County Food Pantry allows individuals/families to receive donated assistance while regaining self sustainable status.
