Why would a church hold a motorcycle Sunday?

"Why would a church hold a motorcycle Sunday?" I was asked this question a number of weeks ago by a new friend in town. The thought was the people who ride have no interest in a faith that saves. However, nothing could be farther from the truth.

This past Sunday, we invited some good friends from the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) to Wheatland Salem Church (neon church on Wolf) to connect and share what it means to bring hope into areas of our community that many will never dare to go. It was a powerful service with an unbelievable witness of the tranformation which seems to always come about when we get to know the loving God. I can't remember a moment when so manywere so impacted.

We hold motorcycle Sundays and Blues Thanksgivings for the same reason we hold traditional Christmas services. When we forget about the boundaries that divide us, we come together under the Spirit which transforms us. I hope you will join us someday soon!

PS: If you want to hear the service, check out the Oswego Listen Here prompts on our web page at www.wheatlandsalem.org
