Wine On The Fox Celebrates 20th Anniversary This Spring

Illinois's top wineries will sample more than 100 wines this spring. Live music acts and food vendors are also slated.

OSWEGO, IL — Wine on the Fox will celebrate its 20th anniversary with its return May 2-3 to Hudson Crossing Park.

Organizers at the Village of Oswego promise this year's event to be the festival's best yet. Wine enthusiasts will have the chance to sample more than 100 wines from top Illinois wineries, as well as craft beer and soda. Live music and on-site food vendors are also planned.

The wine festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 2 and from noon to 6 p.m. May 3, rain or shine. A full list of participating vendors has not yet been made public.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to settle by the river and enjoy the event. Outside food is also allowed.

Admission is free, but tickets are required to sample wine. Early bird pricing is $25 for one person or $55 for two people. Once the first 250 tickets sold, the cost increases $5 per package.

Each package includes a commemorative glass, wristband and tasting tickets — 10 for the "Wine for One" package and 25 for the "Wine for Two" experience. Each ticket can be redeemed for one-ounce samples, or five to 12 tickets, depending on the winery, can be combined for full 5-ounce pours. Additional tickets may be purchased on site for $1 each.
