Wine On The Fox Returns This Weekend

The annual event features Illinois wines and there will be live music.

OSWEGO, IL -- Wine on the Fox is returning to Oswego this weekend. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 6, and from noon to 6 p.m. on May 7, award-winning wines will be paired with live entertainment and local foods. This year’s festival will be held in Hudson Crossing Park, on the east bank of the Fox River, north of the Route 34 bridge.

The event is free and open to the public. For $15, attendees will get a souvenir wine glass, a wristband and five tasting tickets. Advanced two-day passes (non-refundable) can be purchased for $25 each and include the souvenir glass along with 20 tasting tickets, ten per day.

Additional tasting tickets will be $1 each. Assigned designated drivers will receive free water and soda, sponsored by Rotary Club of Oswego.

  • 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Thompson Duo
  • 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Thirsty Boots Band
  • 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Junkyard Groove

And on Sunday:

  • Noon - 2:00 p.m.:County Line Brothers
  • 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m." Lincoln Don’t Lie
  • 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Red Woody

Michele Brown, the village’s community relations manager, said they expect about 4,500 wine enthusiasts from throughout the Chicago area to visit Oswego for the event.
