Woman Who Violated No Contact Order Had Gun: Oswego Police

Oswego police said Lisa A Foropoulos, 56, had an active warrant and no contact order.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police said an Algonquin woman was arrested Friday for violating a no contact order. Police said they were called to the 0-100 block of Parkers Mill at 4:30 p.m., Oct. 5 for a report of a violation of a stalking no contact order and upon arrival determined 56-year-old Lisa A Foropoulos, of the 800 block of West Algonquin Road, had an active warrant out of Hoffman Estates and an active no contact order. Foropoulos was arrested and taken into police custody on the warrant and for violating the order, police said.

According to police, Foropoulos was taken to the Kendall County Public Safety Center and the Kendall County State's Attorney's Office approved felony charges against the woman, including possession of a firearm without a valid owner ID or conceal and carry license.

Police said a Kendall County judge set Foropoulos' bond at $40,000, with 10% to apply, which she was unable to post and is still in custody.

Her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 9, police said.
