• Ireland's 'greatest showman', David Shannon, performs in Ottawa (shawlocal.com) — Residents can catch Ireland's acclaimed singer David Shannon live in Ottawa on Saturday, Oct. 24, as part of the Ottawa Concert Association's fall series at Central Intermediate School. The evening show will feature Broadway favorites, pop standards, and Irish tunes, with local ticket information available by phone for anyone wanting to reserve seats.

Three stores remain under new ownership and have been rebranded as Ottawa Ford/Kia, Ottawa Honda, and Ottawa Toyota, signaling a notable shift in who runs key local car dealerships.
   

• Nathaniel Lee Alonzo, 44, of Ottawa (1430wcmy.com) — Ottawa residents are mourning the passing of 44-year-old Nathaniel Lee Alonzo, a lifelong local who attended Ottawa High School and worked at the Costco Distribution Center in Morris. Visitation is set for Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Ottawa Funeral Home, with cremation and a private burial to follow, as family and friends remember his love of sports, gaming, and time with his daughters.
