10th Annual Halloween Hustle 5K, Kid's Dash a Huge Success

Despite the wet weather, nearly 1,200 people participated in the event on Saturday, Oct. 24th in downtown Palatine.

Threatening skies and periods of light to heavy rain didn’t stop nearly 1,200 runners and walkers, both adults and children, from participating in the 10th annual Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run and Walk and Kid’s Dash.

The Halloween spirit was set on high as people dressed up as minions, skeletons, super heroes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other characters winded through the streets of historic downtown Palatine. Even family dogs and children in strollers were part of the action.

“This year was our best yet yet,” said Aaron Del Mar, founder of Adrenaline Sports Management, the company that presents the event. “Spirits are always high, and the people who participate are always such good sports - despite the weather we’ve had in years past.”
