$2M Bail For Northlake Man Accused of Sex Assault Against Child

Luis Sandoval, 28, was arrested Sunday after a child younger than 13 made the allegations to Palatine police.

PALATINE, IL — A Northlake man is accused of sexually assaulting a child after visiting the Palatine home of a friend Sunday, police say.

Luis Sandoval, 28, of the 100 block of Whitehall Drive, Northlake, was charged with felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. His bail was set at $2 million Monday, April 3, and his next court date is April 20.

According to Palatine police, Sandvoal was visitng a friend who lives in town Sunday, April 2, when a child at the friend's home claimed to be the victim of a sexual assault by Sandoval. Detectives investigated the allegations of the child, who is younger than 13, and Sandoval was eventually arrested.
