The 17-year-old boys were charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle stemming from the March 28 incident.

PALATINE, IL — Three teenagers were arrested after Palatine police found them with a stolen van last week, according to the Daily Herald.

The 17-year-old boys were charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. They were released to their parents or guardians and will be tried in juvenile court.

According to police, officers saw the three teens enter and exit a white Ford van parked in the 1200 block of East Dundee Road at about 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, the report stated. Because of recent vehicle thefts in that area, the officers ran a background check, which revealed the van had been stolen, according to the report.
