4th DUI for Palatine Man Becomes a Prison Sentence
Juan Martinez, 46, pleaded gulty to aggravated driving under the influence and was sentence to 4 years.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to his fourth charge of driving under the influence, according to the Daily Herald.
Juan Martinez, 46, also was fined $634 as part of his deal to plead guilty to aggravated DUI, the report stated. That DUI arrest was in connection with an accident Martinez caused in June, the report added.
He hit another vehicle June 13 while driving west on Dundee Road, the report stated. No was hurt, according to the report.

During his sentencing, prosecutors claim Martinez — who also received 130 days credit toward his sentence and must complete at least 50 percent of it to become eligible for parole — has used multiple aliases in the past and missed the court dates involving his previous DUI arrests, the Herald reports.
