5th Annual March for Life
The March will begin at St. Theresa's Church at 1pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017. All people and all faiths are welcome.
[Palatine, IL] – The nonprofit group Northwest Families for Life (NWFL) announced plans for their 5th annual March for Life. The event is scheduled for October 7.
The march will take place at 1pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Activities will begin inside St. Theresa Church located at 455 N. Benton St. in Palatine. After a gathering prayer and motivational talk, marchers will then proceed to the Rita Mullins Volunteer Plaza at Northwest Highway and Hicks Road (apx. ½ mile) for a prolife rally.
Organizers Maria Goldstein and Laura Vandercar say the purpose of the March for Life is to bring together families to witness to the beauty and dignity of all life. Members of area churches and pro-life organizations will be in attendance and Goldstein notes, “All people and all faiths are welcome. Last year, more than 1,000 people united for life.”

“Participants will be able to carry family-friendly signs and spread life-affirming messages of hope as they listen to incredible speakers whose very lives witness to the dignity of life,” said Goldstein. The theme for this year’s march is “Choose Love; Choose Life.”
Vandercar requests that everyone wear something yellow to the event “because it is a cheerful color and life is definitely something to be cheerful about.”
