Amazon Plans New Distribution Center In Palatine
The distribution center will be located at the former H.B. Fuller factory site in Palatine.
PALATINE, IL —Amazon is expected to move into a new warehouse in Palatine. The e-commerce superstar has inked a deal and plans to build a new warehouse at the former H.B. Fuller factory site at 317 S. Hicks Road, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
Conor Commercial Real Estate, which is based in Rosemont, bought the 18-acre site last summer, according to the Daily Herald. The former sealant factory has since been torn down to make way for the 162-square-foot, 43-foot-tall structure set to open in September.
Amazon has been snatching up property across the Chicago area in recent months, most recently purchasing two industrial buildings at Interstate 355 and Interstate 88 in Downers Grove, according to Crain's. Meanwhile, the company has also confirmed plans for warehouses in Melrose Park, Channahon and Skokie in the past six months and bought a huge parcel in Bolingbrook.
