'American Idol' Finalist Haley Reinhart to Hold Benefit Concert in Palatine

Saturday's event, which will raise funds to fight sexual violence, also will launch Reinhart's new music release, "Better."

PALATINE, IL―Haley Reinhart, the third-place finalist during American Idol's 2011 season, will be holding a benefit concert to fight sexual violence Saturday, as well as launch her new EP, Better.

The concert―which is being organized by Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment (PAVE), a nonprofit group that works to prevent sexual assaults and helps victims of sexual violence―is at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Durty Nellie's, 180 N. Smith St. Tickets are $22.09 and can be purchased online at Eventbrite. Proceeds will benefit PAVE.

The event will be hosted by Roman of B96 (WBBM-FM) and also will feature Wedding Banned and MTV and Comcast SportsNet Chicago personality April Rose.

Reinhart, who went to Wheeling High School, released competed in the 10th season of American Idol and placed third. She released her first album, Listen Up!, in the summer of 2011, and it debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Recently, Reinhart, 25, has worked as voiceover actress for the new Netflix series F Is for Family. She also plans to tour solo his summer.
