Palatine Township residents can now file an appeal to the assessed valuation of their property with the Cook County Board of Review. Township taxpayers can appeal from September 6 to October 5, 2016. Any reduction granted will appear on the second half of the 2016 tax bill, which is payable in the early fall of 2017. A reduction in the assessed value can help reduce property taxes.
If you would like to learn more about filing an appeal Palatine Township will host a seminar with Board of Review Commissioner DAN PATLAK on “How to File an Appeal With the Board of Review” on Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30PM at the Holiday Inn located in Rolling Meadows.
The Palatine Township Assessor’s Office looks forward to helping you reduce your property taxes.
