Attention, Moonlight Mowers: No More Cutting Grass After 9 p.m. in Palatine
The Village Council approved the new time to curb complaints about nighttime noise and disruptions.

Palatine, IL—Residents who prefer mowing their lawns under the stars will need to finish before 9 p.m. thanks to the Village Council, the Daily Herald reports.
The council recently voted to create a new time frame for people to cut their grass, as well as perform other landscaping activities that involve loud tools and equipment, such as trimming hedges, blowing leaves and using industrial vacuums, the report stated.
The new times are now from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends, the report added.
