Barb Sorensen will be performing Civil War Era songs for the Battle of Morseville Civil War re-enactment, in Stockton, IL on Saturday and Sunday August 26 & 27, 2017.
The event is held on the Eloise Pierce Farm (a real farm), and the 40 acre re-enactment space is a cow pasture eleven months out of the year. You are surrounded by farms, without a Walmart or McDonalds in sight to hinder your 19th century immersion.

Tickets to the concert and re enactment are available at the gate. $5.00 per person
Saturday August 26: 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM with the annual Saturday Night Firing.

You can learn a lot from a textbook, but there is nothing like talking to a “real” Civil War soldier to get a feel for what it was like during the Civil War. We encourage teachers to give extra credit to students who attend the event. Students will learn how fun it is to learn History!
