Charles D. “Charlie” Hestrup, 53

Funeral services and interment for Charles D. “Charlie” Hestrup, 53, of Wonder Lake formerly of Palatine, will be private.

Charlie was born April 23, 1959 in Elgin, and he passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at home.

Charlie worked in construction for 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing and horseracing.

Charlie is survived by his mother, Ruth Hestrup (nee Poetsch); brother, James (Janice) Hestrup; and his sister, Jennifer Hestrup; niece, Brittany (Joe) Gremal; nephews, Carter Santos and James Webb; great-nephews, Joey and Joshua Gremal.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Edward C. Hestrup; and sister, Becky Ann Hestrup.
