Christ Lutheran Church Adds Thursday Evening Summer Worship Service

Recognizing that summer brings active schedules and weekend travels, Christ Lutheran Church, located at 41 S. Rohlwing Road in Palatine, adds a Thursday evening worship service, June 2 through August 18 at 7:00 p.m. This new midweek, summer service complements their Sunday worship services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

“We recognize that people like to go away on the weekends during the summer, but they also want a chance to worship, so we are planning a more casual service that will be about 30 minutes long,” says Rev. Joel Lohafer, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church.

The shorter, Thursday evening service includes prayers, songs, and Holy Communion. Since his arrival to the community in December of 2013, Pastor Lohafer emphasizes that all are invited to Christ Lutheran Church, and everyone is welcome to the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion.
