1:00-2:30 p.m. Civil War Ghosts and Legends - Brian “Fox” Ellis doesn’t just tell stories. He celebrates history in period attire. Ellis assumes the persona of Mathias Stritt, a German immigrant who enlisted in the Union Army and served with General Sherman as he burned Atlanta and marched to the sea. Experience ghost stories and songs from the most un-civil war. Brian takes you back to the bloody battlefields, gruesome field hospitals, and haunted graveyards of America’s deadliest war. This is a valuable history lesson that includes fascinating ghostly folklore—an event not to be missed.

2:30-3:15 p.m. 1st Brigade Band Concert - The band brings history alive by presenting period brass band music, performed on antique instruments. Attired in uniforms and gowns, the Band’s musicians, color guard, and costumed ladies take you back to the 1860’s; to that turbulent era known as the Civil War. A nostalgic portrayal of the atmosphere of days gone by is generated by a unique form of showmanship that blends the sights and sounds of the period with historical anecdotes.
