Condo Building Fire Damages 3 Units

No one was injured in the Sunday night blaze.

PALATINE, IL — A fire broke out in the storage room of a condo development Sunday night, causing minor damage to two units and leaving another uninhabitable, according to the Daily Herald. No one was injured, the report added.

The Palatine Fire Department responded to a call at about 5:06 p.m. from a two-story, eight-unit condo building in the 1900 block of North Hicks Road, the report stated. When they arrived, light smoke was seen coming from the second floor storage room, and firefighters eventually discovered a blaze in a storage room on that floor that had spread to another storage room in the unit beneath it, the report added.

It took fire crews, including a unit from Arlington Heights, less than a half hour to put out the fire, the Herald reports. The fire department is investigating the blaze, the report added.
