Construction Worker Dies After Falling From Roof In Palatine: Police

OSHA among agencies investigating fatal incident Wednesday afternoon on Mahogany Court.

PALATINE, IL — A 40-year-old construction worker died Wednesday afternoon after falling from a roof at a home in Palatine, authorities said.

Police and firefighters responded around 3:48 p.m. to the 400 block of West Mahogany Court for a report of a worker who had fallen from a roof, according to Palatine police.

First responders found the man unresponsive at the scene. He was later pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation by the Palatine Police Department, Palatine Fire Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, commonly known as OSHA.

Police said no additional information is being released at this time pending notification of family members and the ongoing investigation.
