DUI
Matthew J. Nelin, 27, of Dyer, Indiana was arrested on Jan. 20 at 2:38 p.m. subsequent to a traffic crash at N. Plum Grove Road and W. Station Street. Charges included DUI and BAC over .08.

Criminal Damage to Property
On Jan. 21 at 7:24 a.m., a rear interior glass door pane in the 900 block of North Sterling Avenue was reported smashed by an unknown offender. The value to repair the door is unknown.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle
Between Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. on Jan. 19 in the 0-100 block of Dundee Quarter, an unknown offender(s) removed a GPS unit and a dash mounted camera (total value $115) from the victim’s 2005 Ford coupe. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
Between Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 21 at 9:40 a.m. in the 500 block of East Spruce Drive an unknown offender(s) made entry to the victim’s unlocked 2012 Nissan coupe. Taken was a money clip containing ID cards and $40 in cash, as well as several pieces of jewelry. The victim estimated the total loss at approximately $560.
Between Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. and Jan. 22 at 7 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Sterling Avenue, an unknown offender(s) removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s 1998 Honda sedan. The value of the theft and damage is unknown.
