Darlene Joan Calas, 76

Memorial visitation for Darlene Joan Calas, 76, will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Willow Creek Community Church Chapel at 67 E. Algonquin Road in South Barrington.  

Darlene was born January 8, 1936 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late John and Agnes (nee Peterson) Davey and passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 24 at the Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington.

Darlene enjoyed being active and some of her hobbies included being a proficient dancer, golfer, bridge player, bowler and she also loved to travel.  Darlene will also be remembered for being very thoughtful as she was truly a Hallmark Individual always sending cards for every special occasion and event for family and friends.  Most important in her life was the love that she had for her family.  She will be missed by all.

Devoted wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Calas whom preceded her in death in February of 2010; loving mother of Craig (Marietta) Calas, Candy (Jeff) Borst and Curt (Jeanne) Calas; cherished grandmother of Nicole, Danielle and Andrew Calas, Becky, Brittany,  Brian and Ben Borst, J.J. and  Olivia Calas; dear sister of the late Dolores Dowling and Donald Davey; sister in law of Nancy Davey.
