Did Quick Stop Sell Drug Paraphernalia? Palatine Holds Hearing to Find Out

The convenience store could be fined or lose its business license.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine convenience store accused of selling drug paraphernalia could face fines or even lose its business license after the outcome of a hearing Friday, the Daily Herald reports.

Village officials claim Quick Stop Convenience Store, 427 E. Palatine Road, sold drug paraphernalia on two separate occasions in July and continues to sell items that fall into that category. Under the village code, drug paraphernalia includes water pipes, bongs, roach clips and other items.

If it is determined that Quick Stop sold drug paraphernalia, the village could fine the store or revoke or suspend its business license.
