Donors Sought for Palatine Township Easter Basket Program

In-need Township children up to 10 years of age are nominated to receive an Easter Basket, and the nomination deadline is February 24.

As the nomination deadline for Easter Basket recipients comes to a close on February 24, 2017, donors are now being sought to participate in the annual giving program through Palatine Township. This year’s goal is to serve 600 in-need children at Easter time.

Donors are needed to provide the Easter Baskets for recipients, which should include age appropriate treats and toys for the children to enjoy. Residents can register as a donor using the online form found in the Assistance Programs tab on the Palatine Township website http://www.palatinetownship.com.

The deadline for donors to register to participate in the program is March 15, 2017.

“Each year, we have hundreds of dedicated Township residents who help to make the Easter holiday a little bit brighter for children who receive these special baskets,” said Sharon Langlotz-Johnson, Palatine Township Supervisor. “We appreciate their generosity and thank them for helping this program to continue.”

The Easter Baskets are picked up at the Palatine Township Center on designated pick-up dates.
