NEW THIS YEAR!! Traditional Irish Breakfast Buffet on Saturday, March 14th from 8:00 a.m. until noon! Scrambled eggs, potatoes O'Brien, bacon, Irish bangers, corned beef hash, fresh fruits, desserts and more! Call 845-358-9150 to reserve your spot!

A year ago, Durty Nellie’s was still reeling from a fire that ripped through its kitchen on a bitter cold January morning – which resulted in the popular entertainment venue, pub and restaurant being closed for one of its biggest celebrations of the year; St. Patrick’s Day. The business reopened after months of rehabilitation and rebuilding in April of 2019.

This year, Durty Nellie’s world is a much different place – the 48+ year staple in downtown Palatine is back, and its owners and staff are eager to ‘paint the town green’ at the 10th annual celebration that emulates all things Irish!

“To say 2019 was a challenging year would be a total understatement,” said Jimmy Dolezal, co-owner of Durty Nellie’s. “We are so proud to be back and thrilled to be hosting what is one of the most exciting celebrations in downtown Palatine each year.”

Durty Nellie’s has a full schedule of entertainment and events on Saturday, March 14, and St. Patrick’s Day itself, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Please visit durtynellies.com for all the details.

“In addition to the always popular bagpipers and Trinity Irish Dancers, we will have returning performers, along with some fresh new acts. We’re also hosting our first-ever Traditional Irish Breakfast before the parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,” Dolezal said. “We encourage everyone to come out and get the party started early that day, while enjoying some traditional Irish fare from our new Chef, Aaron Aggarwal.”

Along with the excitement of Durty Nellie’s being the St. Patrick’s headquarters during Paint the Town Green, Dolezal will also be honored as a co-grand marshal of the parade, along with Liz Christie, both of whom co-founded the St. Patrick’s festivities - including the parade and Irish Market in 2010.

Durty Nellie’s warmly invites residents near and far to experience the magic and excitement of the forthcoming St. Patrick’s celebrations!
