Electronics Recycling Event at Palatine Township Center May 13

Items can be dropped off at 721 S. Quentin Road between 8am and noon. Participants are asked to enter off of Illinois Street.

Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club will host their yearly Electronics Recycling event on Saturday, May 13, 2107 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Palatine Township Center, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine. Businesses and individuals are asked to enter off of Illinois Street, and are welcome to drop off a number of items free of charge, including:

  • Computers and Laptops
  • Scanners and Copiers, Printer and Fax Machines
  • Keyboard and Computer Mice
  • Cameras and DVD’s
  • Christmas Lights
  • Power Cords and Cables-all types, Electronic Wiring and Cords-all types
  • Small Kitchen Appliances
  • Blow Dryers and Curling Irons
  • Pagers, PDA’s and Two Way Radios
  • CD, DVD and VCR Players and Modems
  • Batteries (for cars, motorcycles, marine, cordless tool and cell phones) and residential quantities only for: Alkaline Batteries - AA/AAA/C/D

Microwaves will be accepted for a $25 fee. The Lions Club is also accepting special items including cell phones, keys, eyeglasses, hearing aids and inkjet cartridges.

Items that will NOT be accepted include televisions and older monitors (CRT’s), light bulbs, white goods (large kitchen appliances), and dehumidifiers due to the type of gas in the compressor and hazardous items.
