The winter Holiday season– for some the most magical time of the year and others it’s a couple of months filled with stress, anxiety and depression. According to Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, 38 percent of Americans report an increase of stress during the holidays.

There are a variety of different factors that add stress to your holiday season. Some of the most common including unrealistic expectations, stress from work, financial pressures, loneliness and a packed schedule leaving no time for relaxation.

It’s a hectic time of the year to say the least. With all the cooking, shopping and planning, you struggle to find any time for yourself. Your day-to-day is already extremely busy with work, school and family. So when you add in the increased number of commitments, whether it’s family gatherings or holiday parties, you begin to sink slowly. But the holidays don’t always need to be like this.
