Elverna B. Stroud, 85, a lifelong resident of Palatine.

Funeral services for Elverna B. Stroud will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 12Noon at the Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, Rolling Meadows.  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.  Visitation will be on Friday from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the , 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine and from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Saturday at the church.

Elverna was born on May 28, 1926 in Palatine the daughter of the late Ernest and Meta (Meyer) Hagenow and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 9.

Elverna was a very active and faithful member of the Harvest Bible Chapel where she served in many ministries throughout the years.

Beloved step mother of Ronald (Rozella) Stroud; cherished step grandmother of 4 and step great grandmother of 6; fond sister of Vernette (late Charles) Gaare, Clarence (Jayne) Hagenow, Ernest (Margaret) Hagenow and the late John Hagenow; dear sister in law of Joanne Hagenow; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
