EPIC Urgent and Family Care Answers a Need in NE Palatine

EPIC Urgent and Family Care opened its doors in northeast Palatine in early March, 2015 and has met an unmet need for both urgent care (non-life threatening), as well as family medical services in the northeast area of the community.

The clinic offers a ‘one-stop-shop’ array of services, ranging from affordable complete physical exams including blood count, liver-kidney/electrolyte and lipid profiles, and diabetes screenings. Laboratory services, a pharmacy and x-rays are also available.

In addition to the wide variety of services, the location is open late (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.) and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.) to accommodate busy lives and those who would like to spend- and wait less than a traditional visit to the family doctor or to the ER.

“We are here to serve area residents, and are dedicated to the Palatine community,” said Hetal Patel, MD, who provides child health services at EPIC Urgent and Family Care.

Most recently, the clinic sponsored the 16th annual Samurang Games at Falcon Park Recreation Center, which was presented by JP Wood Martial Arts America. The day-long competition included more than 300 children and family members from Palatine and the surrounding communities.

Patel additionally said that the clinic offers ‘self-pay’ options for patents, which is especially helpful to area residents that do not currently have medical insurance. The location also accepts most insurance, and Medicare.

In addition to English, service providers speak Spanish, Hindi, Guajarati and Swahili.
