Eric William Schmoldt, 36

Funeral services for Eric William Schmoldt, 36, of Palatine, will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.

Eric was born December 25, 1975 in Arlington Heights and entered into eternal life Thursday, April 5, 2012 at home in Palatine.

Eric was so thoughtful and loving, and will be deeply missed by family and friends.  Everyone that knew him will always remember his love for music and playing his numerous guitars.  “I look at you all see the love there that’s sleeping. While my guitar gently weeps.” 

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Ruth (nee Behnke) Schmoldt, sisters, Robin Denil and Dianne (Donald) Trumble; brother, Alan (Jeanie) Schmoldt; dear nieces, Faith and Amber Trumble; aunt, Alyce Hanert; godmother,  Elayne Martin and godfather, Robert Gustafson.

Eric was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Schmoldt; paternal grandparents, Bertha and Elmer Schmoldt and maternal grandparents, Otto and Theresa Behnke.
