Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine will be hosting A Heritage of Hymns Festival on Sunday, February 26th, beginning at 4 p.m. Concert-goers are invited to join with several choirs, a brass ensemble and the handbell choir in singing beloved hymns of faith, including A Mighty Fortress, Beautiful Savior, Love Divine and many more.
A Heritage of Hymns Festival is part of the church’s Music to Move Our Next Generation concert series benefiting the repair, restoration and renewal of Immanuel’s 1,800-pipe Wicks organ.
Immediately following the concert, guests are invited to a youth-sponsored pasta dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from this dinner will support the youth summer mission trip to an Indian reservation in Ontario, Canada.
