Conservationists, nature lovers, photographers, and everyone will enjoy and be inspired by this photographic journey by renowned nature and wildlife photographer, Mike MacDonald. His work celebrates the sublime natural beauty that exists right under our noses-in an area known as Chicago Wilderness. Mike's work has been published locally, literally from cover to cover, in Chicago Wilderness Magazine, nationally in publications like Boy's Life, Petersen's Photographic, and many times in Outdoor Photographer Magazine, and internationally in BBC Garden's Illustrated Magazine. The presentation includes more than 100 digitally projected images that are designed to give the viewer a sense of place. People have said that Mike's landscape images allow them to virtually "walk into the scene." Calling the photographs stunning would not be mere hyperbole, as many in the audience may find themselves stunned by not only the beauty, but the vastness of the scenes. Free, Wednesday, April 18, 7pm Harper College Room Z119. Seating limited, register via email to nwccg@comcast.net. More info at http://illinois.sierraclub.org/nwcook/.
