Frost Blamed By Driver Who Flipped Car In Palatine
A driver who flipped her car on Partridge Drive Monday morning blames frost on the windshield for the mishap.

PALATINE, IL - The driver of a car that flipped over after it struck a parked car on West Partridge Drive in Palatine Monday morning said she had trouble seeing out her windshield because it had frost on it. A day later, Palatine police are reminding the community how dangerous driving with frost on the windshield can become.
"In 2014, a Palatine High School student was struck by a vehicle whose driver’s view was obstructed be ice covering the windshield," according to a statement the village of Palatine shared on Facebook. The statement also ensured that police will be strictly enforcing the law against driving with an obstructed windshield.
Police say they responded to the 1000 block of W. Partridge Drive at about 7 a.m. and found one vehicle flipped onto its roof. An investigation determined the car was headed eastbound when it struck the parked car and flipped over.
