Harper College welcomes Chicago Bassoon Quartet for Sept. 13 concert

The Chicago Bassoon Quartet will put on a performance Sept. 13 at Harper College.

Harper College will welcome the Chicago Bassoon Quartet as part of its Cultural Arts Concert Series.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Performing Arts Center on the College’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.

With a repertoire of more than 100 selections in a variety of forms, styles and arrangements, the Chicago Bassoon Quartet delivers eclectic, inspirational performances. Showcasing the talents of Lynette Pralle, Dianne Ryan, Elizabeth Heller and Sue Nigro, the group has appeared in Chicago’s Sounds of the South Loop concert series and was the featured ensemble for the First Annual Chicago Double Reed Festival in October of 2014.

Tickets to the concert are $7 to $10; admission is free for children 12 and under.
