
RIVER GROVE, Ill. – The Harper College volleyball team improved to 2-0 in N4C play in 2015 with a three-set victory (25-7, 25-5, 25-14) over host Triton College (1-7, 0-3 N4C) on Tuesday evening.
The Hawks (8-3, 2-0 N4C) exhibited strong serving throughout the match with 12 aces as a team. Adriana Loiacono (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) led Harper with 24-of-25 serving and five aces while Jillian Hoffman (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) was 9-of-10 with an ace. Loiacono also had a team-high 11 kills on 16-of-17 hitting.

Sarah Berggren (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) was 14-of-15 hitting with eight kills, and Jada Sharp (/Schaumburg Christian) put down six kills in the match. Hannah Moore (/Schaumburg) paced Harper on the defensive end with 12 digs, and Kayla Mayer (/Wauconda) added 11 digs.
The Hawks will play four matches this weekend at the Rochester Community and Technical College Volleyball Invitational. Harper plays Central Lakes College-Brainerd and Minnesota West Community & Technical College on Friday and Ellsworth Community College and Hibbing Community College on Saturday.
