SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Harper College men’s cross country team placed three runners in the top-10 at the season-opening Waubonsee Invite on Saturday morning and took third place as a team at the meet.
The start of the 2nd Annual Hawks/Chiefs Invitational was delayed due to lightning, and because of the weather conditions, both the men’s and women’s race were run at the same time on a 3 mile course. The Hawks scored 61 points in the meet to place behind only Morton College (44 points, first place because of tiebreaker) and Waubonsee Community College (44 points, second place)
