Jaycees to Entertain Kids with Easter Egg Hunt

The annual Easter Egg Hunt in Palatine will include a visit from the Easter Bunny!

The Palatine Jaycees will be entertaining local children up to nine years old on Saturday, March 24th starting at 11:00 am with their annual Easter Egg Hunt, in its new location in Oak Park on the corners Clark Drive and Anderson Drive in Palatine.

“We will have 3,500 Easter Eggs filled with candy and prizes in the grassy area of Oak Park,” said Suzie Curda, chair of the project. “With the popularity of our Egg Hunt and increased attendance over the past few years, we have moved to a larger location, Oak Park.” The event will end at 1:00 pm.

To add to the festivities, the Jaycees will also have the Easter Bunny attend the event. “Children will be able to have their pictures taken by their parents with the Easter Bunny for a small donation,” said Curda. There is no pre-registration for the event. Interested participants only need to show up at Oak Park (455 N. Clark Drive, Palatine, IL 60074).Every year, the Palatine Jaycees conduct numerous programs to serve the community and accumulate funds for operation of the chapter and community events, grants and scholarships. Included in these projects are Hometown Fest (Fourth of July festival), Christmas tree sales, Easter Egg Hunt, STEM Fair and others that benefit the community.
