Kitchen Fire Causes Damage to Home on MacArthur Drive
Dozens of firefighters responded to the blaze at a Palatine home last week.

PALATINE, IL - A kitchen fire at a home on MacArthur Drive last week caused some damage, but no one was injured.
Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 400 block of the drive after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, when the homeowner said the fire started on the stovetop and spread to the cabinets in the kitchen, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.
Cooking was cited as the cause of the fire, which was put out quickly by 18 firefighters from three engines.
