Knife-Wielding Masked Man Robs Gas Station Near Palatine
The suspect took off with cigarettes and cash from a Mobil station Tuesday, the Cook Co. Sheriff's Office says.

A knife-wielding masked man held up a Palatine-area gas station early Tuesday, according to the Daily Herald.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident that happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Mobil station at 1490 N. Quentin Road, the report stated. The suspect used a fixed-blade knife in the robbery, and he allegedly made out with cash and cigarettes, the report added.
Investigators will be looking at photos and security camera footage of the crime, but that evidence wasn't immediately available, according to the report.
