HANOVER PARK, IL – On Wednesday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi presented the Village of Hanover Park with a check commemorating the $600,000 in federal funding that he secured for Hanover Park’s wastewater treatment facility. The funding, secured through last December’s government spending package, will be used to replace the ultraviolet disinfectant system that ensures all bacteria are eliminated before water is released into the West Branch of the DuPage River.

“Ensuring the health and safety of my constituents is my top priority as a United States congressman, and the new UV disinfectant system will help keep our waterways clean for the residents of Hanover Park, while also helping preserve the environment for future generations to enjoy,” said Congressman Krishnamoorthi. “I’m proud to have secured this critical funding for the wastewater treatment facility and look forward to seeing this project completed in the near future.”
